Sad September

September has gone and it was a very sad month.
Wir Mam passed away after finding out 4 months previously that she had Cancer. She was having Chemotherapy and had almost finished her final lot of treatment, but in the last 7 days her condition deteriorated very rapidly and she fell asleep on 19th September.
She passed away very peacefully with all of us family around her bedside, and having seen all her close friends the previous day.
We were prepared in the knowledge that we knew it was going to happen within 6 months from diagnosis, but something like this can never be easy and it will take time to sink in.
We have all taken comfort from the quantity of wonderful cards and messages received from family, friends and people whom you would never imagine are thinking about you, and they are still arriving by post every day.
I like to think that Mam is up there when the sun shines down through the clouds, when the moon peeps out behind the night sky or when the sky lights up with the Northern Lights (as it did at night after her Funeral) and am happy in the thought that she is up there with all her peerie Angels.
'Night, night Mam, spaek you later'.
